The level of medical service is quite good, but it is, of course, not like home. The central hospital is understaffed and extremely busy, often it is a good idea to go to the private clinics. However, people with complicated fractures and in need of an operation may end up in the hospital anyway.

You will find that the prices for medical services are much lower than at home, and the cost of medicine is much, much lower here! Alternative treatments are also available. A normal consultation will cost around 55 Euros.
